Archiving and indexing

The journal Diabetes Obesity Metabolic Syndrome ensures the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published materials in accordance with open access policies and international standards for archiving scientific information.

1. Digital preservation

All articles published in the journal are stored in digital format on the server of the journal’s official website. Full-text access to materials is provided free of charge and indefinitely.

2. Archives on the website

The “Archives” section contains all issues of the journal, grouped by year. Each article is accompanied by metadata: title, authors, abstract, keywords, link to the full text (PDF), DOI (if available).

3. Journal indexing

All published articles are indexed in Crossref, Google Scholar, Ulrichsweb, Bielefeld Academic Search Engine (BASE), Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources (ROAD). Copies of all articles are also stored in the V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine.

4. Backup

The journal’s editorial office regularly backs up all materials to prevent data loss in the event of technical failures.

5. External archiving

The journal supports integration with national and international repositories, such as:

National Repository of Academic Texts of Ukraine (if available),
Institutional Repositories,
LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe),
PKP Preservation Network (for journals operating on the OJS platform).

6. Compatibility with open access policies

Archiving is carried out in accordance with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license, which allows for the free use, distribution, and preservation of scientific materials.
