Advertising policy of the journal Diabetes Obesity Metabolic Syndrome is informed by internationally recognized principles of editorial independence and publication ethics, including recommendations from the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors and WAME Recommendations on Publication Ethics Policies for Medical Journals and the Law of Ukraine On Advertising
Advertising and Editorial Independence
The Editorial Board of the journal Diabetes Obesity Metabolic Syndrome maintains a strict separation between editorial content and commercial activities. Editorial decisions are made independently and are not influenced by advertising, sponsorship, commercial revenue, or relationships with advertisers.
Acceptance of advertising does not imply endorsement of any product, service, company, or claims made by the advertiser.
The Editorial Board retains full authority over all editorial content, peer review, publication decisions, and journal policies.
Advertising Standards
All advertisements must comply with applicable legal, ethical, and regulatory standards, including relevant requirements for pharmaceutical and healthcare advertising.
Advertisements must:
- be accurate, evidence-based, and not misleading;
- clearly identify the sponsoring company or organization;
- comply with applicable national and international regulations;
- avoid exaggerated or unsupported therapeutic claims.
The Journal reserves the right to reject, remove, or request modification of any advertisement that is considered inappropriate, misleading, deceptive, or inconsistent with the scientific and ethical standards of the journal Diabetes Obesity Metabolic Syndrome.
Separation of Advertising and Editorial Content
Advertising and sponsored materials must be clearly distinguishable from editorial content at all times.
Advertisements will not be presented in a format that could be confused with peer-reviewed articles, editorials, clinical guidance, or other scholarly content.
Commercial advertising will not influence:
- manuscript selection;
- peer-review decisions;
- editorial commentary;
- publication timing;
- article placement.
Sponsored Content and Commercial Support
